I didn't get the best sleep last night, and I woke up in a...mood. It's not a sad mood, but it's not a happy mood, kind of like a somber mood I guess? So, as a pick me up, I'm going to write out things that I'm thankful for.
1. I'm thankful for having this summer at home.
2. I'm thankful for having a healthy body with all of my senses. I saw this thing the other day and it was saying that we think it's normal to have our sight, our hearing, our sense of smell, all our limbs etc., but just because it's normal doesn't mean they aren't still miracles. 3. I'm thankful for having clean drinking water in abundance. On my walk today, I was thinking about how I was thirsty, and then I thought about people who get stranded in the middle of the ocean are literally surrounded by water, but can't drink it. And people, literally the human race, the same exact thing that I am, are living in places without clean drinking water. So today I am extra grateful for the life I live and the clean water that I have.
4. I'm thankful that I'm not allergic to strawberries because I really love strawberries.
5. I'm thankful to have the clothes that I do. Right now I'm really *trying* to save my money, but all these cute clothes are tempting me, so I'm taking a moment to be thankful for the unnecessary amount of clothing that I already do have.
6. I'm thankful for my dog. Even though his face smells like throw up at the moment and his legs are filthy with mud from our walk. I still think he's the cutest thing ever. OH MY GOSH wait, today on my walk a girl chased me down on her bike and asked if she could pet him, so obviously I let her. I walk for like maybe 10 more steps and another girl chased me down on foot to pet him. He's basically famous and I think I'll start charging money to let people pet him.
7. I'm thankful for my Fitbit watch. That was a big purchase for me because it was over $100, but I just really love that thing. It makes working out so much more rewarding because it tells me my steps, heart rate, calories burned and all that jazz.
8. I'm thankful for growing up in a small town. I love that I can walk anywhere and feel safe. I love that I don't have to plan in extra driving time because of traffic. I love that people finger wave when you drive by.
9. I'm thankful for people who read this blog. Sometimes I feel so stupid, like who even cares what I have to say, so seeing that people do makes me smile.
10. I'm thankful for pigs in a blanket, you know hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls. I had it for dinner on Tuesday and then for lunch AND dinner on Wednesday. They're just so good.
Just a thankful Julia
