My Dream Home

I have 535 pins on my Pinterest board titled "House Stuff" and another 102 pins on a board titled "Home Decor" so you could say I love houses and interior design!!
So I gathered all of my favorite pins to share with y'all my dream home! And emphasis on the word dream as I know this stuff is super nice and expensive. But a girls got big dreams :)
Okay so first of all, my taste varies between modern farmhouse and like lowkey mountain cabin vibes, but my overall goal is that I just want my house to feel very cozy, welcoming, and lived in. Like no display dining room that only gets used once a year at Thanksgiving.
Farm House Vibes

Okay I super love shiplap, but more so just pops of it on a wall, not like the whole house covered in shiplap. But I do LOVE the color of the wood and the brightness of the white walls. I'd probably go with a more light taupey-gray color for the walls to make it a little cozier, but you get the idea!
Lowkey Mountain Cabin Vibes
Okay, honestly really don't know how to describe this style so this title was the best that I could come up with lol. But I love the mix of the stone, siding, and colors. It just looks so homey to me! Now, I love the gray toned wood that goes with the farmhouse, but I also adore this darker wood with black handles. I can just see myself curling up on a couch during a snowstorm and feeling so cozy being surrounded by those darker tones. (A door is kind of a random pic to include, but it's just the inspo pic ya feel?)

Front Doors
This is kind of a weird thing to love, but I truly love front doors. They just frame the outside of the house and I'm so excited to be able to decorate my front steps one day - like seriously look how cute that fall set up is.

Kitchen
This is a little hard for me to describe because I really don't know what my dream kitchen looks like placement wise, but I know that I love white cabinets and a darker island, so here are some inspo pics! I've been seeing floating shelves in kitchens a lot recently, and at first I didn't like them because I thought they were a waste of space where you could be storing your practical dishes, but now I love them and think they are so dang cute!!

Another thing that I'm weirdly obsessed with is butler's pantries. They're just the cutest little space to store/decorate with all your coffee and wine necessities. Plus, everyone has that one junk drawer in their kitchen filled with sticky notes, scissors, pens, and random nails rolling around in it. A butler's pantry is the perfect place for that drawer. Tell me I'm wrong. Ope see you can't. #ButlersPantryForTheWin

Now I do know that I want an open floor plan. I want to be able to see from the kitchen into the living room and just have it be one cohesive space. Also, remember how I said no fancy staged dining room? I just want my dining room to be in the same room as the kitchen because 1. You don't have to carry dishes as far and 2. It just creates a more homey, lived in feel. But check how adorable that round table is!!! And those round backed chairs oh my goodness all the heart eyes.

Living Room
Okay I LOVE everything this living room has going for it - the vaulted ceilings, the beams on the ceiling, the super large window, the stone fireplace, open into the kitchen, and that Christmas tree looks mighty fine there too.

My number one thing in my dream living room is having a beautiful stone fireplace where the TV will go and I can hang stockings and Santa can come down (everything in my life is about Christmas lol). But seriously how lame is it to tell my future kids that Santa comes through the front door, I NEED a fireplace. I used to want windows on the sides, but now I'm super into having built-ins to decorate. I love having pictures of my family and friends because, again, it just gives a lived in more personal feel, and built-ins are the perfect place to display those.

Bathroom
Only requirement in my dream bathroom is an amazing tub because I live for baths. As for the overall vibe/style of the bathroom I'm not really too sure about. Definitely more on the modern side, but I love seeing these little vanities built into the bathroom. I love makeup, skincare, and painting my nails, so having a specific place to store all of that and get ready is so fun to me.

Now, I'm not one to love gold (more of a silver girl) but this bathroom is to die for!! The tones of the wood, the white shiplap, and the gold accents give me LIFE.

Laundry Room
Is it weird to have a dream laundry room? Because I totally do. My house styles have changed over the years, but I've loved this laundry room consistently for quite a few years now, so I think she's a keeper. In my dream world, the living room would be on the main floor because honestly I'm scared of basements so if I could have it on the main floor that would be amazing.
Sun Room? Toy Room? Bonus Living Room?
Okay now I know I said that I don't want a frufru dining room that never gets used, but I'm about to say something that kind of contradicts that theory. So, I ADORE this living room. It just looks so cozy, and again with the Christmas, I can see myself cuddling up in this room and watching the snow fall. Okay, well this doesn't really go with the whole vibe of my main living room, and this also doesn't really seem like a basement living room - ya know, dark and cold so you can wrap up in a warm blanket and watch a movie. So I'm like okay I could have a second living room/sitting room on the main floor that kind of acts as the sun room? But who the heck needs three living rooms??? So that defeats my whole theory of not having a fake dining room because I want to utilize all the space in my house. OH wait, I just had the best idea on a way to justify this third living room. It could also be the toy room!!! Omg I'm a genius. Guess who's getting three living rooms. Me!!

Outdoor Space
Honestly, I'm such a homebody, so my goal is to make my home pretty sweet that way people come to me instead of me having to go to them 😂And having an awesome backyard space will really seal the deal. Fireplace and outdoor TV heck yes - can y'all imagine the college football viewing parties out here?? Outdoor bar so we can eat while we watch those football games - yep count me in!! And obviously cute and comfy outdoor seating to lounge in. That first pic with the vaulted ceiling and beams - ooo baby love to see it.

Decorations
I've just pulled some of my fav decorations at the moment to show you! These little tables are so cute and look so fun to decorate - and that window mirror is so dreamy! Like I mentioned earlier, I love displaying pictures, so this picture collage is for sure going to find it's way into my home. Also, lanterns. Do I need to say more??? They're my FAVORITE thing to decorate with.

Mud Room
These are both just inspo pics as I don't super love the way that they look, but the overall idea of the cubbies is what I love!

Random
I have so many other random pins that I just love, but don't really have a specific category to put them under, so here it goes.

If you love any of these pics and want to save them for yourself, my Pinterest is Julia Evertson and you can find the pin under "House Stuff" or "Home DECOR" and pin it for yourself to have!! I felt like I was just having a conversation with my best friend about my dream home, so thanks for being my best friend for the 6 minutes that you spent reading this :)
