I See You, God.

Before I start every walk in the morning I say this little prayer. It goes like this: "Dear Lord, please let there be no snakes thank you Lord amen." And then I start my walk and literally for the past month and a half, I have not seen one single snake. Today, I tragically FORGOT TO SAY MY PRAYER AND GUESS WHO SAW A SNAKE. I do not do snakes nope huh uh thank you NEXT.

So, Jaxon (my dog) and I are casually walking along the trail, and I see that lil nasty snake head start peaking out of the grass onto the sidewalk and I watched long enough to see it turn and slither (ugh even typing "slither" makes my skin crawl) back into the grass. If I was like, ya know, mentally strong, I would've kept walking forward because it went away into the grass so I'm safe now right? NOPE, WRONG I turned around and speed walked (sped walked?) all the way until I got back into town by houses and people who could save me if I were to see a snake again. During this speed walking, I got out my phone to FaceTime my boyfriend, Alex, because he could totally save me from a snake over the phone right???? Good logic, Julia. Anyways, I told him the situation and he laughed (rude), but his company just made me feel safer so I guess it's a win lol.

Now, I already believe in God, I mean how could I not? I look around at my life and it's just so dang beautiful (minus the snakes) so there is no doubt in my mind that it is all God's doing. I think the Big Man was just reinforcing that today because seriously, the ONE day out of like (okay I'm not good at numbers I just gotta think out loud for a second...started walking Jaxon on like May 27th probably, and I walk him 5 days a week, and it's been 5 weeks, so 5 x 5 = 25) okay so the ONE day out of like 25 DAYS that I forget to say my prayer, I see a dang snake. I see you God, reeeaaaaalll funny. But I mean, if you start your day at a low point it can only get better, right?
